This was parked outside my apartment this morning and when I came back home this afternoon, it was still parked there. I decided to quickly nip up and get my camera so that I could try my hand at some manual focusing. I don’t think it’s quite right, but I’m happy with the result.
my neighborhood right about now. (12.01.23 11PM)(all pictures taken with nikon d3000 + manual 50mm f/1.4 lens. please leave a comment if you’re going to repost any images.)
I had a great weekend at the Yongpyeong Resort with friends. Need to get out of Seoul more often!
We met at Jamsil early on Saturday morning, hopped on the bus and two hours later, we were being snowed upon. Everyone crashed for the first while and then we headed out for food and snowboarding. I managed to do TEFL, record three videos and all without freezing my extremities.
Drinking games from Saturday evening until Sunday morning, then up for food and back home. Next time, I ski!

Today was my first solo attempt at starting my portrait portfolio. I set off to the river by my apartment, where the light is good and it’s an open space. I know it’s 설날 today, but I guessed there would still be some people walking around. I was right, but I underestimated the cold. Badly.
I asked four separate people if they would mind posing for a photo and each of them said the same thing - “Sorry, but it’s too cold.” They were all very polite, but after the last rejection, I looked again and realized that everyone was walking with a purpose. Not one person was walking casually along the river like I see on most days. Everyone was trying to get somewhere warmer.
I’ll get them next time.
